James Atwell Mayo Obituary
The memory of James Atwell Mayo of Schuyler, Virginia, who passed away on December 2, 2024 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mayo and Cora Mayo; his wife Jean Purvis Mayo; and his siblings, Louise Critzer, Evelyn Ripley, Barbara Commins, Merritt Mayo, Marion Mayo, Charles Mayo, Jr. and Harold Mayo.
He is survived by: his daughter Lisa M. Miller (Tim) of Schuyler; his brother B. G. Mayo (Shirley) of Charlottesville; and his close friends, Clara Wray of Schuyler, Paul and Judy Wilkerson of Schuyler. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (7850 Scottsville Rd, Scottsville, VA 24590).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
