She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Hansen and Annie Hansen; and her sister Mary Smith. She is survived by: her significant other John Vaughan; and her family Faye Trent. She is also survived by two nieces, one nephew; one brother-in-law; and lifelong friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA, P.O. Box 66, Meherrin, VA 23954.
