He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Grady Thomas Ellis, Sr. and Betty Purcell Ellis; his son Matthew Ellis (Crystal) of Salisbury, MD; his brother Grady Ellis, Jr. of Wattsville; his grandson Zachary Ellis of Salisbury, MD; his niece Stacey Odell; and his nephew Adam Ellis.
