He is survived by: his wife Bessie J Wood; his children, Juanita Simms, Bernard Wood (Jewel) and Wayne Wright (Lisa); his grandchildren, Oscar White, Thomas Simms Jr. and India Simms; and his sister Rose Abrams (Leon). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
