She was predeceased by: her husband Jacob L. Sorrell; and her son Harold E. Sorrell, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Lola S. Vaughn and Garland R. Sorrell; her grandchildren, Harold Sorrell, Jr., Gilbert Vaughn, Jr., Aisha Vaughn and Griselda Carlyle; and her cousin E. Bernice Armstead. She is also survived by 5 sisters-in-law; other relatives and friends.
