He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce W. Slaughter. He is survived by: his children, Roy "Bo" Slaughter, Jr. (Mary Catherine), Lynne Bew (Bubba), Donna Massey (Jesse), Bill Slaughter, Cindy Brown (John) and Jennifer Ellis; and his grandchildren, Buddy, Melissa, Robert, Amanda, Justin, Michael, Wendy and J. T.. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the SPCA.
