It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Rainey of Sandston, Virginia, who passed away on March 22, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Rainey and Florence Cliborne; and his sisters, Evelyn Holmes and Elsie Ferguson. He is survived by: his wife Sue Husten Rainey; his daughters, Lynda Rainey (John Reynolds) and Carolyn Throckmorton (George); his granddaughter Allison Throckmorton Nida (Corey); his great grandchild Grace Lynn Nida; and his brother-in-law Larry Burnette (Jeanne). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and very close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions to Sandston Baptist Church as memorials in remembrance of Bob Rainey.
