Lindy Easter left this world on January 18, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Norman "Mike" Oakley; her sister Mollie Easter Rupe; and her mother Mattie Easter Hanson. She is survived by: her daughters, Sheila Harvey Pigninelli and Cheryl Beamer (Frank); her grandchildren, James "Jay" Harvey (Lisa), Stacie Breaker, Shane Beamer (Emily) and Casey Prater (Canaan); her nieces, Michelle Hudgins (Art), Denise Dunlevy (Keith) and Rhonda Payne; and also Mucka. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren, six great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nelson Funeral Home (4650 S Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church (2010 Carlisle Ave, Richmond, VA 23231). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at the Washington Memorial Park (6217 Memorial Dr, Sandston, VA 23150).
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the St. Jude's Hospital or the American Heart Association.
