He was predeceased by: his wife Lee Anne "Annie" Fess Taylor; and his parents, Joseph H. "Joe" Taylor, Sr. and Nancy Laffoon Taylor. He is survived by: his children, David Taylor, Jr. (Arika) and Alexandra "Allie" Taylor; his brother Joseph H. "Joey" Taylor, Jr.; his granddaughters, Kaidence and Skylar Taylor; and his brother-in-law William David Fess. He is also survived by other family members and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cape Hatteras National Seashore foundation.
