It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Thomas Saunders of Sandston, Virginia, who passed away on February 9, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas and Mary B. Saunders; and his siblings, Herbert, Donald, Thomas "Tommy", Clayton Saunders and Ruth Cocke Nagy.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia A. Saunders; his children, Ronald Saunders and Susan Saunders Wood (Robin) of Mechanicsville; his grandchildren, Kelsey Gray, Jessica Saunders and Cameron Wood; and his brother O'Neil Saunders of Richmond. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
