She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Nelson and Helen Nelson; her siblings, Mary McConnell and Emmett Nelson; and her granddaughter Amanda Brown.

She is survived by: her husband McClellan "Clell" Burgess; her son Trace; and her grandsons, Jesse, Burgess and Jake Brown.
