He was predeceased by: his daughter Anne Howard; his father Andrew L Barnes Sr.; his birth mother Virginia Barnes; his sister Helen Haden; his grandparents, Elwood Barnes, Sr. and Myrtle Barnes; his nephew Wayne Haden; and his niece Cynthia Gartland.
He is survived by: his wife Martha; his daughter Christy Meeks (Michael); his grandchildren, Melissa Howard, Andrew Howard, Ryan Meeks and Austin Meeks; his great grandchildren, Vincent Cutright, Jr. and Everett Toothman; his son-in-law Michael Howard; his sister Dorothy Miller; and his nieces and nephews, Barbara Kirkland, Carol Slayton, Tom Haden and Arnold Haden.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hardy Central Baptist Church (4655 Darbytown Rd, Richmond, VA 23231). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
