He was predeceased by: his former wife Anita Lucille Ansburg. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Sonya (Penny); his children, John H. Dixon (Patti), Gaynelle Ruben, Kathryn West (Kitty) and Susan Reagan (Chris); and his close friend Brittany Spaniel "Dixie". He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gwynn's Island Museum.
