He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira John Richardson and Leoma Tolbert Richardson; his wife Sarah Noel Richardson; and his children, Sarah F. Richardson and Buck Richardson.

He is survived by: his daughter Gail McClure (Stuart); and his siblings, Paul Richardson and Nina Derby.
