He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Moon Brooks; his siblings, Frankie Hodges, Hazel Andrews, Richard Brooks and Cecil Brooks; and his parents, George Brooks and Daisy Brooks.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Brooks (Sara), Kay Carlton (Rusty) and Taylor Brooks (Connie); his grandchildren, Ligon Paleczny (Ryan), Corbin Brooks, Millie Carlton and Sterling Brooks; his great grandchild Sally Paleczny; and his brother George Brooks.
