He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary Louise "Patsy" Branson; his parents, Walter Branson and Maxine Kegley Shelton; and his brothers, Buster, Johnny and Lee Branson.
He is survived by: his wife Pricilla Hayden Hall Branson; his children, David Branson (Kim) of Lexington, NC and Martha Haynes (Doug) of Thomasville, NC; his stepchildren, Ricky Hall of Marion, VA and Amy Hall Billings (Rick) of Marion, VA; his siblings, Lewis Branson (Pat) of Clarksville, TN and Donna Devins of Irondale, AL; his grandchildren, Tiffany Michael (Stretch Blackburn), Josh Curry, D. J. Haynes, Alex Branson (Catherine), Anna Branson, Aiden Branson, Amber Williams and Emily Billings; his great grandchildren, Madison, Nathaniel, Hartley, Brinley, Chevy, Kara, Evie, Nick, Alex, Brendan and Mason; and his siblings-in-law, Arvin Hayden, Laurinda Sturgill (Pete), Deloris Gillespie (Fred) and Tina Hayden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice.
