With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruby Ellen Hayes (Saltville, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 24, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Thomas and Julia Atwell Thomas; her husband Jim Dale Hayes; her sons, Peter E. Hayes and Michael Hayes; her grandson Timothy Tripp; her great grandchild Asia Hayes; her siblings, Myrtle Bise and Charles Thomas; and her cousins, James "Jim" and Buddy Call.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Hayes, Jimmy Hayes, Ted Hayes and Julie Hayes; and her grandchildren, Joshua Hayes, Jami Layton, Travis Hayes, Gabriel Hayes, Jonathan Hayes, Josiah Hayes, Aaron Hayes, Sherella Hayes, Velenza Hayes, Alexander Hayes, Shannon Nicole Angemi, Jeremy Dale Hayes, Grace Campbell, Katrina Hayes and Jessica Amber Hayes. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Ridgedale United Methodist Church (1112 Ridgedale Rd, Saltville, VA 24370). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
