He was predeceased by: his father Craig Wilmot; and his brother Shawn Wilmot. He is survived by: his wife Robin Wilmot; his mother Deborah Merchant; his children, Samantha Cantrell (Jonathan), Ashley Doss (Jeffrey), Ronni Michelle Wilmot, Stacy Anderson (James) and John Isaac Wilmot; and his grandchildren, Katie Wilmot, Emma Anderson, Colton, Morgan and William Cantrell. He is also survived by his dog, "Thor"; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Henderson Funeral Home (148 E Main St, Saltville, VA 24370). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
