He was predeceased by: his parents, Stuart Montgomery Frye and Daphne Helen Gilbert Frye. He is survived by: his wife Diane Frye; his children, Kristi, Bert Sumpter of Salem, VA, Kevin Frye of Saltville, Jake Frye of Saltville, Beth Frye of Saltville, Haylee Frye (Blake) of Saltville and Karlee Frye of Saltville; his brother Jerry "Byrd" Frye (Cathy) of Saltville; his mother-in-law Wanda Eblin; his sons, Erik Puckett and Wayne Carter; his grandchildren, Sam Sumpter, Kaden, Kegan Frye, Natalie and Mia Frye; and his niece Melanie Arnold.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
