He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowe Collins and Clara Collins; and his parents-in-law, Willie and Sydney Frye. He is survived by: his wife Norma Frye Collins; his children, Angela Umfleet (Gary), Eddie Collins (Beth) of Fayetteville, NC and Kris Collins (Jenna) of Abingdon, VA; his grandchildren, Ethan, Caleb, Tyler, Dana Collins and Amanda Briggs; his great grandchildren, Riley, Zoe, Skylar, Ben and Deklan; his siblings, Louise Cannon, Sandra Sullins, Esther Moore, Betty Flock, Shirley Collins and Billy Collins; his brothers-in-law, Joel and Don Frye; and his cousin Rodney Collins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
