He is survived by: his children, Jonathan Burgess of Saltville, VA and Marcy May of Wytheville, VA; his siblings, Curtis Burgess (Alexine) of Rock Falls, IL, Lois Tuggle of Saltville, VA and Sybil Parker of Martinsville, VA; his grandchildren, Brittany and Travis May; and his friend Clay Irvin.
