He was predeceased by: his mother Lila Barns "Tiddle" Buchanan; his wife Janavee Carter Buchanan; his siblings, Richard, Tate, Preston, Patrick and Nancy Buchanan Durham; and his father Raymond "Ray Buck" Buchanan Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Mary Rachel Buchanan and Big Tom Buchanan (Sandy); his grandchildren, Tisha (Eddie Briggs) and Stacy Taylor (Matt Justus); his great grandchildren, Kayla Carrier (Will Cardwell), Dyson Briggs, Olivia Briggs, Tommi Lane Buchanan and Kain Buchanan; his siblings-in-law, Lois Buchanan, Janice Perkins and Jim Carter; and his grandson Bo.
In lieu of flowers donations can made to Rich Valley Council of Churches to support the Elementary School Weekday Religious Education Program.
