She was predeceased by: her parents, Malcolm Warren and Gracie Warren; her husbands, Garland Shupe and Marvin Frye; her siblings, Joe Warren (Alberta "Sue") and Isabella Mullins (Gaylon); and her siblings-in-law, Bill Webb, Estil Duff, Riley "Junior" Frye, Earl Frye, Gladys Henderson, Stelma Gobble, Liddie "Toots" Taylor, Wanda Frye and Amanda Holley.

She is survived by: her daughter Elsie Holley (Gene); her grandson Eugene Holley (Cathy); her great grandchild Keith Holley; her sisters, Marthalene Webb of Dalesville and Maxie "Polly" Duff of Princeton; and her sisters-in-law, Peggy Thomas and Betty Frye. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“So sorry to hear about Aunt Mary Ellen passing. The lives she touched and all the hearts she loved and that loved her are giving thanks for her interaction in there lives. Our God is an awesome God creating life forever when we love Him. We will rejoice with her soon.”
