He was predeceased by: his parents, George Abel and Ida Abel. He is survived by: his children, Sara Barron of Chilhowie, VA, Leah Blevins (Ricky) of Marion, VA, Sonia Haga of Marion, VA, Georgia Patrick (Steve) of Rural Retreat, VA and Lee Abel, Jr. (Beth) of Cripple Creek, VA; his grandson Michael Abel; his siblings, Charlie, Randal Abel, Lois Delorto, Gerlene and Vicie Jones; and his grandchildren, Daniel Combs, Sandy Spencer, Madison Blevins, Kenzie Blevins, Colton Blevins, Cody Haga, Forrest Haga, Alyssa Fisher, Brian Patrick, Chris Patrick, Wyatt Patrick, Curtis Abel, Caleb Dalton, Jacob Dalton and Jackson Abel. He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made towards the funeral expenses.
