He is survived by: his mother JoAnne Kirby Collins of Saltville; his wife Melanie Shealy Collins of Saltville; his sons, John Lever Collins II (Michael) of Gaston and James Ryan Collins of Saltville; and his sister Glenna Ann Collins of Lexington. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
