He is survived by: his siblings, James "Jim" Carter and Janice Perkins (Glenn); his brother-in-law Don Wright; and his close friends, Frederick Copenhaver, Ronnie Houchins and Jim Litton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
