It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Franklin Burgess Sr. of Saltville, Virginia, who passed away on January 24, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Franklin Burgess and Eunice Tuggle Burgess; his brother Ricky Burgess; his wife Patty Rhea Burgess; his children, Regina Counts and John "Byrd" Burgess, Jr.; his children-in-law, Chris Counts and Lori Burgess; his grandchildren, Madison Counts and Tucker Burgess; his pet Buttercup; and his siblings, Ann Boardwine (Dean), Curtis Burgess (Debbie), David Burgess and Charles Burgess. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Everyone is asked to please meet at the cemetery and follow the Covid-19 guidelines.
