He is survived by: his wife Judy Doane (Wilson) of Chilhowie, VA; his sons, Joe Doane of Chilhowie, VA, Tim Doane (Tippy) of Abingdon, VA and Steve Doane (Vanessa) of Knoxville, TN; his grandchildren, Aaron Doane of Abingdon, VA, Ethan Doane of Abingdon, VA, Jacob Doane and Jennifer Doane of Knoxville, TN; his sisters, Daphne McCready of Saltville, VA and Rita Rupe (Bobby) of Rural Retreat, VA.; and his close friends, Fred Somervell and Randy Sullivan. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Midway Memorial Chapel (2633 VA-107, Saltville, VA 24370). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
