He was predeceased by: his father Francis Marion Strong, Jr.; his stepfather Phillip E. Shumaker; and his mother Dorothy Mullins Shumaker. He is survived by: his son Jarren Strong (Kathleen) of Abingdon, VA; and his siblings, Jerry Strong (Brenda) of Helena, MT and Carol Goodbar of Dillwyn, VA. He is also survived by two granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; five nieces; a nephew; and many cousins and extended family.
