She was predeceased by: her husband John "Campbell" Whitely; her daughter-in-law Sherri Carpenter Whitely; her parents, Frank Samuel Griffitts and Nannie May Taylor Griffitts; and her siblings, Kathleen Harris (Norman), Eleanor Lamie (Norman), Mildred Hess (Oscar), Ruth Patrick (Robert), Paul Griffitts, Frank D Griffitts (Thelma) and William "Billy" Griffitts (Francis).
She is survived by: her son Steve Whitely of Saltville, VA; her granddaughter Erin Whitely Adkins (Jonathan); her great grandchildren, Vova and Kyrylo Adkins of Winston Salem, NC; and her sisters-in-law, Jean Francis Crabtree of Memphis, TN and Christine Griffitts. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
