She was predeceased by: her husband Sam Holmes; her parents, Houston McNew and Virgie McNew; and her sister Myrtle McNew. She is survived by: her daughters, Jeannie Austin (Wayne) and Janet Leedy (Marty); her grandchildren, Lindsey Austin Reddersen (Brian), Tony Woods (Jessica), Lesley Austin Pennington (Chad) and Bo Woods; her great grandchildren, Mackenzie Woods, Blaine Woods, Caroline Reddersen, Brayden Woods, Abby Woods, Georgia Ellyson Pennington, Colton Woods and Carson Reddersen; her siblings, Geneva Louthen, Roy McNew and Alan McNew; and her niece Debbie Dye.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saltville Baptist Church or the Alzheimer's Association to help combat this terrible disease.
