It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freda Ann Gates Dinsmore of Saltville, Virginia, who passed away on June 8, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. Gates and Kathleen "Kat" Gates; her husband Wayne Dinsmore; her children, Barbara Robbins and Michael Smith; her granddaughter Brittany Williams; and her siblings, Jane Kestner, Betty Roberts, Glenda Cline, Bobby Gates, Roger Dale Gates and Larry "Windel" Gates.
She is survived by: her children, Tina Olinger (Lewis) of Saltville, Leslie Williams (Frankie) of Richmond, Steven Smith of Saltville, Allen Dinsmore (Tammy) of Saltville and Jeff Dinsmore (Kay) of Saltville; her son-in-law Russell Robbins of Saltville; her grandchildren, Patricia Waddell, Stephanie Barker, Stacey Williams, Austin Robbins, Colton Dinsmore, Landon Dinsmore, Madison Trivitt, Cody Smith, Tristen Olinger, Jadon Dinsmore, Kayla Dinsmore and Paige Olinger; her siblings, Cathy Barrett (Neal), Diane Allison and Con Gates; her siblings-in-law, Lois Doane (Buster), Terry Brown and Donnie Dinsmore; her sister Amy Norris (George); and her pet Gypsy. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; her best friend.
