She was predeceased by: her parents, Hobert Leon, Sr. and Bertha C. Carter; her husband Roger Lee Hawkins; her uncle Fred Crabtree; her nephew Jimmy Holmes; and her great-nephews, Levi Holmes and Jimmy Carter.
She is survived by: her daughter Debra Miller (David) of Chilhowie; her stepson Ronnie "Pete" Hawkins; her siblings, Judy Holmes (Kyle) of Rich Valley, Barbara Jo Fazelnia (David) of Charlotte, Jane Hess (Tommy) of Saltville and Hobert (Leon Carter, Jr.); her grandchildren, Troy Pickel (Carly) of Chilhowie and Trooper Travis Pickel (Lauren) of Abingdon; her great grandchild Skylar "Skybird" Pickel; her stepgranddaughter Casey Hawkins; her stepgreat-granddaughter Hayton Hawkins; her niece Tammy Hogston; and her close friend Garland Anderson.
