He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Colley Tolbert; his parents, Mack Omar and Ollie Mae Tolbert; and his brothers, Roger Tolbert and Tony Tolbert.

He is survived by: his children, Mack Tolbert (Ashley), Vanessa Ercelino (Albert) and Brian Tolbert; his pet Reese; and his siblings, Curtis Tolbert and Jimmie Whitehead.
