He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Mitchell and Helen Mitchell; and his brother-in-law Larry Ball. He is survived by: his sisters, Ruthie Goins (Ray) and Billie Ball of Abingdon, VA; his nephew Mitch Goins; his niece Chessie Brown (David); his great-nephews, Levi and Zack; his aunts, Sue Kestner and Christine Denton; his uncle Sam McKinney; and his caregiver Dixie Hunt.
