Christine H. Denton Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Christine H. Denton (Saltville, Virginia), who passed away on March 17, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd W. McKinney and Maggie Louise McKinney; her husband Charles A. Denton; and her siblings, Ruth McKinney, Helen Mitchell (Bill) and Sam McKinney (Scorp).
She is survived by: her children, Vicki Beckett of Midlothian, VA, David Hammond (Debbie) and Allen Hammond (Rita); her stepchildren, Tim Denton and Linda Hicks; and her grandchildren, Kelly Thomas, Ringo, Jesse Sanders, Tammy, Chris Hammond, Jessica, Sterlin Hammond, Kevin Hammond and Amanda. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and beloved nieces and nephew.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Henderson Funeral Home (148 E Main St, Saltville, VA 24370). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Main Street Christian Church, P. O. Box 657, Saltville, VA.
