He was predeceased by: his father Chevy; his sister Edith Maiden; his brother-in-law Dale Maiden; his brother Graham "Ras"; his sister-in-law Doris Davidson; his nephew Charles Allen Maiden; and his daughter Stephanie Davidson (McCready).
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan King (Tony), Donna Hall (Freddie), Virginia and Beth Helton (Vern); his grandchildren, Stephanie Taylor (John Hood), Troutdale, Virginia, Dustin Russell (Kasey Caviness) and Chase Taylor (Samantha); his stepgrandchildren, Kayla Davidson (Josh) and Timmy Helton; his great grandchildren, Ryker Reed Thomas, Evolet Sky "Evy" Davidson, River Wayne Russell and Kase Adler Hood; his friend Susie; his extended family, Dot and Rick Cupp; and also, Brittany, Hannah, Kyrsten and Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nephews, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Henderson Funeral Home (148 E Main St, Saltville, VA 24370). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
Daddy expressed that he would like folks to save their flower money and use it to make donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org) or Shriner's Hospitals for Children (https://www.shrinerschildrens.org).
