She was predeceased by: her parents, John Leonard and Thelma Jeter Shank. She is survived by: her husband John Roberts Hildebrand; her brother John M. Shank; her brother-in-law David C. Hildebrand; her children, Martha Hildebrand Sherwood (Robert), John Roberts Hildebrand, Jr. (R. Neal Fine), Sarah Hildebrand Caldwell (Gregory) and Caroline Hildebrand Cochrane (James); her grandchildren, Catherine Sherwood Hagan (Christopher), Elizabeth Hildebrand Strasser (Joseph), Margaret Hildebrand Sherwood, Mary Claire Hildebrand (Devin Corron), Caroline Morgan Caldwell (John Cooledge), Catherine Roberts Caldwell Short (George), Sarah Lane Cochrane Payne (William), James Hildebrand Cochrane, Julia Xian Shank Cochrane and John Hao Wright Cochrane; and her great grandchildren, Sarah Catherine Hagan, Jacob Alexander Hagan, Tyler Marx Strasser, Madison Claire Strasser and Grant Richmond Strasser.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Salem Presbyterian Church (41 E Main St, Salem, VA 24153).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Salem Presbyterian Church, PO Box 536, Salem, Virginia 24153.
