He was predeceased by: his father Thomas Odell Slone; and his daughter Jessica Slone. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Spain Slone; his sons, Travis Slone and Justin Slone; his granddaughter Zaiah Hardin; his mother Jeannette Slone; his siblings, Ricky Slone, Gina Saul (Kyle) and Shari Winebarger (Jerry); and his caregivers, Chastity and Katie.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel (305 Roanoke Blvd, Salem, VA 24153). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
