He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Stuart and Mable Clair Nichols Drain; his son Robert "Bobby" Douglas Drain; and his siblings, Helena Alzie Drain Young, Robert, Emory and Douglas.
He is survived by: his wife Lucy Mae Poff Drain; his children, James Daniel Drain and Tracy Lynette Drain (Bonnie Sue) of Martinsville, VA; and his pets, Katrina and Lil Bit.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and at 1:00 PM at the Lotz Funeral Home (1330 E Main St, Salem, VA 24153).
