He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Bradford and Rachel Wills Mabes; his wife Doris Turner Mabes; his siblings, Harry Mabes and Marie Dent; and his nephew Robin Dent.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen L. Mabes and Brenda Mabes Williams; his grandchildren, Stephanie L. Hutsell and Michael P. Williams; his great grandchildren, Ashlyn and Dominick Draper; his great great grandchild Leilani Jones; and his sister-in-law Peggy Turner of Luray.
