With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nancy Louise King of Salem, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 26, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Nancy Louise leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Trent and Alma Trent; her husband Elmer "John" King; and her brothers, Charles Junior Trent and Robert James Trent.
She is survived by: her children, John King (Joanne Maitland) and Vicky King; her grandson Hunter King; and her sisters, Shirley Manning and Margaret Clark.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel (305 Roanoke Blvd, Salem, VA 24153). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
