He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mark Forest Wimmer, Sr. and Alice Maxey Wimmer; his wife Gypsey Robertson Wimmer; his children, Mark Thomas Wimmer (Amy) and Elizabeth Anne Stockton (Russ); his grandchildren, Benjamin Greer Stockton, Drew Elizabeth Basham, Elle Wimmer Balph and Alex Riggs Wimmer; and his brother Woodrow Maxey Wimmer (Sharon Gray Wimmer).
A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the East Hill Cemetery (730 E Main St, Salem, VA 24153).
