Lucy Catron Loar Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lucy Catron Loar (Salem, Virginia), who passed away on December 12, 2024 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Loar; her parents, James Catron and Mary Letta Havens Catron; her daughter Teresa Pinkard; and her sisters, Virginia Bowman, Carolyn Mayberry and Eleanor Nunley.
She is survived by: her son Douglas Fry; her grandchildren, Cameron Pinkard, Clara Fry, Gracie Fry and Zachary Fry; and her close friend Jackie Bloxom. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:15 PM at the Simpson Funeral Home (5160 Peters Creek Rd, Roanoke, VA 24019). A graveside service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Sherwood Memorial Park (1250 E Main St, Salem, VA 24153).
