She was predeceased by: her husband Earl Burks Carter; and her sisters, Louise Owwesbey and Kathleen Richards. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Anderton (Thomas) of Bent Mountain and Steven Lee Carter of Birmingham; and her grandchildren, Susan Carter Anderson (Dave) of Greenville, Adam Carter (Christina) of Aurora and Stephanie Carter of Pinson. She is also survived by great-grandchildren; eight beloved nephews and nieces.
