Jane Lucado Groton Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jane Lucado Groton of Salem, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 18, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry Lucado Jr. and Lila Bowe Lucado; her niece Karen Lucado; and her siblings-in-law, Thomas Barnett and Kelley Abate.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas Ray Groton; her daughter Lila Jill Groton; her grandchildren, Julian Robert Higginbotham (Laura), Ashton Thomas Higginbotham and Piper Elizabeth Higginbotham; her brothers, William Allen Lucado, John Steven Lucado (Linda Ives), Mark Edward Lucado (Susan) and Bruce Albert Lucado (Teresa); her nieces and nephews, Chad Lucado, Chase Lucado (Megan), Nick Lucado (Marybeth), Taylor Lucado (Keiley), Andy Lucado (Rachel) and Samantha Thomasson (Scott); her sister-in-law Cornelia Kay Barnett (Charles); her nieces, Nicole Parsons (Doug) and Daria Abate (Jesse); and her nephew Bryan Barnett (Kelly).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (1601 S Colorado St, Salem, VA 24153).
