She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Wilson Young and Kathleen McDaniel Young; her husband Thomas Darrell Proffitt; her brother Gary Wilson Young; her sister-in-law Becky Johnson Young; her brother Neil Young; her nieces, Samantha Lovern (Matt), Shae Young and Will Scott; her nephew Colin Young; her great-nieces, Jordyn Sowers and Emeri Lovern; and her great-nephew Kohen Lovern.
She is survived by: her mother-in-law Millie Proffitt; her siblings-in-law, Linda Proffitt, Regina Huffman, Steve Proffitt and Malinda Highfill; and her close friends, Sheron Crawford and Elsie Gladden.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Fellowship Community Church (1226 Red Ln Ext, Salem, VA 24153). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
