He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Luther Henshaw and Elsie Aliff Henshaw; and his siblings, Ruby Mae Henshaw, Lorraine Horning, Carolyn Henshaw, N. Gene Henshaw, Linwood Henshaw and David L. Henshaw.
He is survived by: his wife Vada Henshaw; his children, Timothy Henshaw (Sherrie) and Rebekah Brown (Matthew); his stepson Christopher Milstead (Julie); his grandchildren, Andrew Brown (Elizabeth), Aaron Brown (Jennifer), Joelle Henshaw and Anna Henshaw; his stepgrandson Connor Milstead (Natalia); his great grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, Eli and Nora Jane Brown; and his siblings, Phillip Henshaw, Horace Henshaw, Raymond Henshaw (Frances), Donnie Henshaw (Sue), Juanita Turner and Gloria Heath. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Church of the Brethren (2138 McVitty Rd SW, Roanoke, VA 24018).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Oak Grove Church of the Brethren's Gilbert Henshaw Memorial Fund.
