He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Thompson and Connie Rasnake Thompson; his wife Margaret Puckett Thompson; his brother Danny Jo Thompson; his brothers-in-law, Danny Puckett and Allen Puckett; and his nephew Chuck Clendenin.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Ginny Thompson of Union Hall, VA, Misty Reynolds (Larry Reynolds) of Portland, Jennifer Davidson (Tracy Davidson) of Pounding Mill, VA, Joey Puckett (Cindy Puckett) of Bandy, VA and Brian Clendenin (Theresa) of North Tazewell, VA; his sisters-in-law, Geraldine Puckett of North Tazewell, VA and Shirley McReynolds (Paul) of North Tazewell, VA; and also, Larry and Karen Peterson. He is also survived by great nieces and nephews; and special friends.
