It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bruce E. Kropff of Salem, Virginia, who passed away on October 30, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Harrison Lee Kropff, Vina Jane Kempleton Kropff, William Jasper Walton and Sarah Amanda Bolen Walton; his parents, Raymond Hooker Kropff and Mary Naomi Walton Kropff; his siblings-in-law, Gypsy Burch Kropff and Leroy Spradling; and his parents-in-law, H. Scott Spradling and Frances Fitzwater Spradling.
He is survived by: his wife Velma Spradling Kropff; his children, Gina Kropff Ellis (Michael) and Bruce Edward Kropff, II (Lauren Clatterbuck Kropff); his brothers, Joseph L. Kropff (Betty) and James R. Kropff (Gwen); his grandchildren, Sydney McMakin (Kyle) and Benjamin L. Ellis; and his friends, Carl Young and Billy Swain.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel (305 Roanoke Blvd, Salem, VA 24153). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
